Executive Committee

The Executive Committee plays a crucial role in providing leadership, guidance, and operational oversight for Your Gippsland Radio. By bringing together individuals with expertise in different areas, the committee ensures the station’s activities are well-coordinated, impactful, and aligned with the organization’s mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities of the Executive Committee:

  1. Provide strategic guidance and oversight for Your Gippsland Radio’s operations.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to support efficient and effective functioning of the station.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the station’s performance, including programming, financial management, and community engagement.
  4. Collaborate with the Board of Governance to align committee activities with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  5. Coordinate the efforts of various departments and committees to ensure smooth operations.
  6. Act as a liaison between the committee and the Board of Governance, reporting on committee activities and seeking guidance as needed.

Executive Committee Structure

Chairperson: The Chairperson of the Executive Committee is responsible for leading and coordinating the committee’s activities. They ensure effective communication, facilitate meetings, and represent the committee at the Board of Governance meetings.

Vice Chairperson: The Vice Chairperson supports the Chairperson in their role and assumes their responsibilities in their absence. They collaborate with the Chairperson to oversee the committee’s work and provide guidance on strategic decisions.

Secretary: The Secretary of the Executive Committee is responsible for maintaining accurate records of committee meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and managing committee correspondence. They ensure effective communication among committee members and assist in coordinating activities.

Treasurer: The Treasurer oversees the financial aspects of the committee’s work. They work closely with the Finance Committee and ensure proper financial management, including budgeting, monitoring expenses, and reporting financial information to the committee and the Board of Governance.

Program Director: The Program Director oversees the programming activities of Your Gippsland Radio. They collaborate with the committee members to develop and implement a diverse and engaging program schedule, ensuring it aligns with the station’s goals and target audience.

Community Engagement Director: The Community Engagement Director focuses on building relationships with the community, stakeholders, and partners. They develop strategies to increase listener engagement, coordinate community events, and foster collaborations that enhance Your Gippsland Radio’s impact and reach.

Marketing and Communications Director: The Marketing and Communications Director leads efforts to promote Your Gippsland Radio and enhance its brand visibility. They develop marketing strategies, manage social media channels, and oversee the production of promotional materials to attract and retain listeners.

Technical Director: The Technical Director is responsible for managing the technical infrastructure of Your Gippsland Radio. They oversee equipment maintenance, ensure reliable broadcasting, and explore opportunities to enhance technological capabilities to support the station’s operations.

Education and Training Director: Oversees the development and implementation of education and training programs for staff, volunteers, and stakeholders. Identifies learning needs, designs curriculum, and coordinates training activities. Ensures continuous professional development, promotes a culture of learning, and supports individuals in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary for their roles within Your Gippsland Radio.

Show Structure Director: Responsible for maintaining a consistent and engaging show structure across all programs. Guides hosts and producers in creating compelling content, ensuring the achievement of the station’s objectives. Oversees the development of show formats, flow, branding, and use of language and entertainment elements to captivate the audience and deliver a high-quality listening experience.
